Travelers who come to Sri Lanka are mesmerised by the tropical setting of this place. Ashtanga Lanka is a yoga retreat which is located in the secluded place, in a small coastal village of Sri Lanka. The retreat offers lessons in yoga and meditation.

The Yoga Studio at Ashtanga can accommodate 30 students. The location of this studio is close to the beach which provides a perfect environment to practice yoga and meditation. Ashtanga runs daily classes of meditation, Ashtanga Mysore yoga, pranayama, AcroYoga and Philosophy. Acroyoga  is a blend of yoga, thai massages and acrobatics. This practice helps people connect their own selves.

Accommodations are provided in individual bungalows, private rooms, shared rooms and dorms.

The retreat has experienced residential Yoga teachers who have been practicing yoga for more than 30 years. The classes are customized according to the ability and age of the pupils.

In-house restaurant serves delicious local cuisine which includes fresh fish from the beach. They also have international cuisines. The nearest town close to this retreat is Tangelle which has several shops and farmer’s market.

Apart from yoga, the retreat has several other programs to engage the students like visit to ancient monasteries and temples, rainforest and wildlife tours, tea-plantation tours, surfing, swimming, safaris etc. Lagoon kayaking is one of the popular activities which drive most of the tourists to this beach.

Thai massages and flying-therapeutic sessions are given to the students here.

Voluntary activities like socialising with the local community service are also available for guests coming to Ashtanga Lanka.
